Transgender Day of Visibility

Each year on March 31, the world observes Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) to raise awareness about transgender people. It is a day to celebrate the lives and contributions of trans people, while also drawing attention to the poverty, discrimination, and violence the community faces.

Everyone has the human right to freedom of gender identity and expression. Because we’re not safe until all of us are safe. We believe respect for human rights will help lift people out of poverty and injustice.

Equality must include everyone or it is not equality. For this reason, our commitment to gender equality includes trans people.
